It is a popular culinary spice for it brings out the flavour of rice and curries like no other. It is an active ingredient of the famous Indian Garam Masala powder. The bay leaves are dried and are used whole, or crushed. The long, tapered leaves are handpicked and carefully dried to retain their original form and qualities.
