When the outer husk of the raw sesame seeds are removed, you get Hulled Sesame Seeds. These are creamy white kernels that are less bitter, milder, and easier to digest. This herb is popularly used for its mild, nutty flavour, cold or by slightly heating. When heated, they release essential oils and flavour into the oil, adding a strong and flavourful blend to the dish. It is excellent as a tadka or tempering. They can also be sprinkled over breads, salads, stir-fries, noodles, biscuits or roasted vegetables.
