Red Sandalwood Powder, also called as Rakta chandan is a finely milled traditional powder. It is made from red sandalwood tree bark, which is highly valued. It is cooling and soothing used externally in many different ways. Known for its deep reddish-brown colour and smooth texture, it has been used in South India for years.When soaked and mixed on its own or with multani mitti and turmeric as a paste, it makes an excellent face mask. The colour and texture may vary slightly between batches due to its purity and natural sources.
