For those who don’t want to use bay leaves whole, then they can explore the Kibbled bay leaves option. These are dried bay leaves( also called Tejpatta) that have been broken, crushed, or cut into smaller pieces. As this increases the surface area, they release more of their pungent, eucalyptus-like flavor into your dish. As compared to whole leaves, kibbed leaves are intense with a faster-acting aroma. To use, put them into a cheese cloth which can later be removed. These are excellent for simmering in soups, herbal tea, biryani masalas, and meat rubs.
