Ground mixed spice is a traditional British baking blend popular in the UK. It has sweet, warming spices on the ingredient list, mainly used in baking fruitcakes and hot cross buns. It gives a prominent cinnamon flavor, with mild coriander, nutmeg, clove, ginger, and allspice. It adds warmth and taste to cakes, cookies, biscuits, puddings, and other baked goodies. Just a small amount imparts a pleasant flavour and aroma, making it a convenient and easy on the pocket spice mix.
