Dagad Phool or stone flower is a lichen used in traditional Indian spice blends such as garam masala. This aromatic spice from Spicemart has a unique earthy, smoky aroma, and a typical black colour to spices and dishes. This is used in rice and meat dishes and also in Biryanis. It is also referenced in traditional formulations for mild antimicrobial properties and lends a smoky taste where used. Dagad, Patthar ke phool, or black stone flower, is a wonderful flavour enhancer and in traditional medicine.
